1. Intellectual Property & Source Code Ownership
ApkiWeb operates dual service models, and ownership depends on your chosen plan. One-Time Custom Development: Clients who purchase a one-time web design package retain 100% immediate ownership of their source code, design assets, and database upon final payment and project handover. Managed Subscriptions (WaaS): For clients on our subsidized monthly plans, ApkiWeb retains ownership of the source code and structural layouts. Clients become eligible for a complete, free transfer of their website source code after completing a minimum of 18 months of active, paid subscription service. Personal business data, logos, and written content always belong to the client.
2. Billing Cycles, Cancellations, and Service Interruption
Subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring monthly cycle. Clients can request cancellation at any time. If a monthly subscription invoice remains unpaid for more than five (5) calendar days, ApkiWeb reserves the right to temporarily suspend the live website. If an account remains delinquent for over thirty (30) days, the website instance will be permanently removed from our active server network.
3. Scope of Managed Updates & Layout Adjustments
Our weekly update quotas (2 updates/week or 4 updates/week) are designed to keep your digital storefront dynamic and current.
What is Included: Clients are fully welcome to request text modifications, price changes, product image uploads, contact detail adjustments, as well as minor visual adjustments. These minor visual adjustments include changing global brand color accents, adding a new pre-built section (such as an announcement banner or a new customer review block), or hiding an outdated layout section.
What is Excluded: Weekly updates do not cover complete website re-theming, shifting your entire business instance onto a completely different core layout framework, or custom secondary software engineering. These structural overhauls constitute a full website redesign and will require a separate structural modification fee.
4. Limitation of Liability
While ApkiWeb maintains a premium, secure Singapore-based server network with a target of 99.9% uptime, we do not accept liability for indirect financial losses, missed incoming orders, or customer communication resulting from unexpected hosting server down-times or third-party API interruptions (such as global WhatsApp outages).
5. Payment Terms & Missed Deadlines
Billing cycle: Subscriptions are billed automatically on a recurring monthly cycle. Your renewal date is the day your site was taken live.
One-Time Custom Development & Maintenance: Custom development requires full payment upfront (or as defined in a custom invoice) before deployment. Monthly Maintenance plans are billed at the start of the 30-day service cycle.
Accepted payment methods: EasyPaisa, JazzCash, Bank Transfer, Safepay, Paymob.
What happens if you miss a payment deadline:
- Grace period: 5-day friendly grace period after the renewal date — no penalty, your site stays fully live and no maintenance screen is shown.
- After the grace period: If the invoice is unpaid for more than 5 calendar days, ApkiWeb reserves the right to temporarily suspend the live website (visitors see a polite maintenance screen). Your data and content remain 100% safe and restore instantly once payment clears.
- After 30 days: If an account remains delinquent for more than 30 days, the website instance is removed from our active server network and the domain may lapse. Full re-onboarding fees apply to restart service.
There is no late-payment penalty inside the 5-day grace period and no cancellation fee — just stop paying and let us know on WhatsApp.
6. Domain Ownership & Transfers
If a client wishes to take control of their custom domain, ApkiWeb will transfer it to them. The client is responsible for paying any domain transfer fees charged by their new registrar.
Because ApkiWeb pays for domain renewals yearly in advance, penalty-free domain transfer requests must be made during the 11th or 12th month of the active annual subscription period. If a client requests a domain transfer before the 11th month, they must reimburse ApkiWeb for the full yearly domain fee that we already paid on their behalf.
7. Post-Handover Hosting Options
If a client reaches the 18-month milestone, receives their source code, and chooses to continue utilizing ApkiWeb strictly for hosting and domain management, the standard "Managed Subscription" fee will be canceled. Moving forward, the client will transition to a standard self-managed billing model, only paying the base domain renewal fee per year and standard server hosting fees (billed monthly or yearly based on preference).
8. Upgrading Plans (Starter to Managed Plans)
When a client chooses to upgrade from the Starter Plan (which operates on a free subdomain) to a Standard or E-Commerce Managed Plan, a one-time fee of Rs. 3,500 is required to cover the custom domain registration charges for the first year. Following this initial domain setup, standard billing will resume at the recurring subscription rate of the newly chosen plan.
